7 Weeks 2 Days

No more feeding tube! He is now able to eat all of his meals through a bottle. They've been preparing us for his discharge, which looks like its going to be in the next few weeks.

6 Weeks 4 Days

Ezra is now 4lbs 4oz and has enough fat to regulate his own body temperature. They've moved him to an "open crib" as they call it, where they now leave the top of the isolette open. So far he has been doing a great job and keeping extra warm in the fuzzy fleece monkey blanket.

6 Weeks

Ezra is now up to 4lbs! He has been able to take more and more milk from the bottle each day. Usually he gets tired after about 15ml so we have to give him the rest through the feeding tube. He is now taking 21% of his daily feedings through a bottle. Hopefully soon he'll be able to eat all of his meals through the bottle so we can get rid of that feeding tube!

42 Days Old

They took Ezra off oxygen support today! He's been doing great breathing on his own with no issues so far. It's so great to see his whole face and he definitely seems much happier without the prongs up his nose. He now weighs 3lbs 5oz and is still gaining a little bit every day.

He had an eye exam yesterday and the doctor said everything looks on track, just that his retinas are immature, which is completely normal seeing as how he is only 32 weeks. His little eyes just need to keep on developing and he'll have another exam in about 2 weeks.
